Inguinal hernia repair by the extraperitoneal laparoscopic approach

cure de hernie inguinale par voie extraperitoneale coelioscopie

Illustration of a technique of laparoscopic bilateral inguinal hernia repair by the subperitoneal approach using a single non-fixed mesh, which is an adaptation of the Stoppa technique described by Leroy using the transperitoneal approach. The operation requires: – a 5 mm scope – a second video screen at the head.

The patient is taken to the operating room in the morning, fasting, with a drip. The operation begins as soon as general anaesthesia has been administered. It consists of closing and reinforcing the opening in the wall. In laparoscopy, the surgeon uses a non-absorbable wall prosthesis (“mesh”).
